When I am in email the column headers are: from, subject, forlder, size and date. I can sort by subject, size and date but not by "from". Am I missing a setting or does this system not allow sort by "from"?

Which version of XC are you using?  Use the FULL version.

Inbox>Preferences>General icon... Switch to the full version.



Need Email Help? Please post the following information in your post.
Do you use XfinityConnect? The Full or Lite version?
Do you use an email client? Which one? (Eg; Windows Live mail, Outlook, a smartphone etc.)
Which browser/version do you use? And- have you cleared your browser cache?
Which operating system? XP, Vista, Windows 7, Mac OS X
Details of the problem you are having.

I am using the full version.

I am using Windows 7.

I am using google chrome.

At the top of the message list, right-click in the grey area to the right of "Sorted by", and you will see this, one of the options is to sort by "From"---------------------------

Thanks for your reply, but, it didn't help.

I must have a different version than you. When I right click the gray area I get the following 9 selections: Expand, Read/Unread, Status, From, Attachment, Subject, Folder, Size, Date. I can select or de-select 8 of the 9, but Subject is always checked and it is not hi-lited. I don't know if this might be a clue, but it might.

There's only two versions of Xfinity Connect:  Full and Lite, and Full is the default.  Another approach-------right-click on any message in the list and you will see this--------------

See if that gets you where you need to be.  My screen shot is older, but try selecting Sort Order and see if that's what you want.
