the view of my email has changed, i no longer seeing preferences and it seems like it takes longer to get to my email page.  also the address of my email is no longer the same as my husbands

In the new format, click on the gear icon in the upper right corner of the Inbox page, then on Settings.  You need to clarify about your email address being different.
