email login switches to a different user

I am the primary email user and my wife just has a secondary email address on my account. The sign in page will not let me sign in with my username and password. Every time I sign in with my username/address, the system immediately switches to my wife’s account. This just started to fail today. I cannot log in with the primary users address. Please help

First, clear out your browser's history/cache.  Then close it out and re-start it in a fresh session.  Then, try re-setting the password for the primary account------------------------
