email, display unread, find unread

email, display unread, find unread

How do I find old unread emails? How do I display unread emails at top of list?

Re: email, display unread, find unread

Assuming you are in the new email format, at the top of the message list click on "Sort by", and then click on "Unread".  If you are in the old email format right-click on any message in the list and you will see your sort options.

thanks for your prompt reply.  My email does not have a "sort by" or "unread"

I tried the right click a message suggestion,  and get a menu with options for that particular message. I still do not know how to locate or bring to the top unread messages, when the unread message counter is displayed. I don't want to scroll through all my back messages to find the one I missed, but that seems like the only solution?

If you are in the old format and right-click on a message in the list, you should see this---------------------

Message Sort Order from Message List.jpg

Click on "List View Options", then "Sort Order" and you will see the rest of it.

Re: email, display unread, find unread

thanks for the visual. I opened the final right hand box and did sort by date. This allowed me categorize the emails chronologically. I still had to sort through until I found the one highlighted unread message from way back when. I still have the original question: Does email have a function to display unread emails , bring them to the top of the list. If i fail to open an email in January, by August it still shows up as unread on my counter, but is impossible to find without scrolling through everything.

The old email format does not have that capability.  When you are migrated to the new format, that does have it.
