email consistently hangs

email consistently hangs

For a long time (months) when I start my system the email works fine for a while and then starts slowing down and eventually hangs.  If I restart my web browser then it works again for a little while and eventually hangs again.  Also when my email hangs, I can still use the web browser to view other sites in different tabs.

 

I use the online xfinity by Comcast web client, not an email client.  I'm using IE 11.096.  I have not cleared browser cache, if I need to do that please tell me how.  I'm running Windows 7.

Clearing the cache/browsing history is the first thing I would suggest.  Here are the instructions for the different browsers.  Scroll down to method # 6 for IE------------------------

You could also try using a different browser like Firefox or Chrome as a test to see if the problem can be duplicated that way.
