email & bookmarks

I really dislike this new Xfinity Home Page Setup. On very rare occasion I might actually look at something that is there. I am mainly interested in getting to my email with a minimum of clicks and delay. However that is not my primary problem I can live with it for now.

My primary problem is with the bookmarks. Up until the other day my Bookmark column was on the left side of the screen and constantly displayed making it very easy to bring one up whenever I desired. Now all of a sudden I have found that the only way I can access my bookmarks is to go to near the upper right corner of the screen and select the "Show My BookMarks" icon. An extra step which I don't like, but such is life. In a lot of ways I liked the days of DOS better than Windows.

Even a bigger problem is that once I get my Bookmarks column displayed and I select one of the sites I don't get the entire page displayed. I get what fits in the Bookmark column with scoll bars to move side to side or up and down on the site page. It used to be that the entire page was displayed on top of the page I was currently veiwing. What changed and how do I get back to the way it used to operate?

Re: email & bookmarks

I can't help you with the bookmark issue.

I CAN tell you how to go directly to your email.

Create a shortcut to email on your  desktop.

Open up Xfinity Connect and copy the URL of the page.

In an empty spot on your desktop, RIGHT click and choose NEW/SHORTCUT.

Paste the URL in the box, click NEXT.

Give the shortcut a name.

Click FINISH.

Use the shortcut to go directly to your Comcast mail.
