We get a lot of spam because xfinity filter doesn't work well.

Previously if we hovered over the name on the incoming email, it showed the "true" (rather than the fraudulent) email address.

Also a right click allowed us to access the raw contents without opening the email so we could see it was junk.

 

Today the new email version came and both of these do not work.  Hovering shows the fake address and right click does nothing. 

How do I fix this or what action will show whether the email came from russia or nigeria or cz (that is- probably spam)?

The true sender address is often not present anywhere in the message. Unless the sending system is especially secured against abuse, spammers and scammers can put anything in the "From:" address and receiving systems often have no way of checking it. Placing the mouse on the "From:" address can only show the address stored there. If it's been forged, that's all you're going to see.
