email address drop down box when hitting "TO"

email address drop down box when hitting "TO"

I have about 10 email addresses when I hit the TO box on an email. I cannot deleat any on there nor orr add any and there are only about 10 or 12. My wifes laptop on the same issue list everyone of her email clients can add and remove. Why can't I. TIA

When you click on the "To:" button, you should see a window with two panes in it.  The one to the left has contacts in it, and the one to the right is blank.  At the bottom of the left pane is "Next".  If you click on it you should see the next page of contacts.  They are listed alphabetically.  Are you not seeing that?

  The next button is not clear to allowme to go to the next page. To be honest previous, next, and removed are not allowed on the drop down. TIA

If "Next" is greyed out it means there is nothing on the next page to view.  How many contacts do you have in your address book?

I have 40 in my address book but only 17 showing up in the drop down. Cannot go futher. TIA

Try having the address book re-synced. You need to send an email to helpme@sv.comcast.com In the subject line put "Need Slow Sync of Address Book". In the body of the message describe the problem, and make sure you include the email address with the problem. It can take up to 24 hours for the re-sync to work.

Still not right. Waiting to hear back from help and the people who are supposed tp to sync the list. They said they would email me when they do. Maybe next week. TIA Thanks

Until they get it sorted out, try this-----------------from the Inbox page go to Preferences>>>>>>General>>>>>>Versions.  Switch to the Lite version of Xfinity Connect, then go back into the email.  Hit the Compose button in the toolbar, and then try the To: button.  It looks a lot different than the Full version, but see if all your contacts are then visible.

Thanks Latoque but only the look of the list changed. The number of contacts remained the same. We shall see but thank you for your effort.

Yes Latoque the slow sync fixed the problem. Thanks for your advice andhelp
