email ID has changed when sending

email ID has changed when sending

We have 4 separate email addresses under one account.  Recently, my name appears in front of all three other senders of every email sent out, followed by the sender's own email address.  Makes it look like I send out every email.  Don't want this, since I have no control over where or to whom such email goes. How do I remove my name (identlty) from in front of every email message sent out?

Re: email ID has changed when sending

Sign in as the Primary user.  Then click on "My Account" at the top of the page.  You might have to sign in again.  On the landing page click on "Users" at the top of that page.  You should now see all the accounts you have.  To the right of any of them click on "Edit".  On the next page you will see "Username".  Click on Edit to the right of that, and you will see where you can change the name.  Understand------I haven't tried this myself.  I have three Comcast accounts at the moment, and the only one that is in the new format is a secondary.

Also, when in the Compose page of any of the accounts, at the top where it shows who it's From, click on the little arrows at the right end of the field and you will see the option to change the outgoing name.  It will hold that name until it's changed again.

Re: email ID has changed when sending

Two questions:

a) Are you the Primary account holder?

b)  Are you on the new format or the old one?
