e-mail glitch

I have for many years used Microsoft Office Outlook as my e-mail program.  I recently moved and received a new account and went through hours of phone calls attempting to get my Office Outlook to work as my e-mail program, but some glitch will not allow me to receive my e-mail in Outlook, but only in Xfinity Connect.  This does not allow me to save my received e-mail in my PST accounts.  With all the brilliant techs at Comcast, why can't they solve this seemingly simple problem.  I am currently using Office 2007.
