I have thousands of e-mail i want to deleat.  what is easiest way to do this

IF you want to delete ALL  emails, click on the box above the listing of emails, then click on the delete icon to delete them all.  

If there are some emails you want to keep...FIRST create a separate folder by clicking on New Folder next to Mailboxes on the top left side.  Make sure you create the folder BELOW all of the Comcast Folders so that folder is not affected by your email deletion schedule (located in Preferences). 

After movinf emails by using 'move' or dragging to your new folder, then you can go back and get rid of the rest of them using the directions posted first in this reply.

 

With so many to remove, you don't want to have to click on a bunch of emails, then clicking on the delete icon.  That could take a long time.

Do you use XfinityConnect? The Full or Lite version?
Do you use an email client? Which one? (Eg; Windows Live mail, Outlook, a smartphone etc.)
Which browser/version do you use? And- have you cleared your browser cache?
Which operating system? XP, Vista, Windows 7, Mac OS X
Details of the problem you are having.

Assuming you are still using the older email format in the Comcast webmail------------------------

 

From the Inbox page, go to Preferences>>>>>General>>>>>Versions. Full is the default. Click on Lite to set it. It will save automatically. Go back to Email. In the Folders pane to the left, click on "Edit". Then you will see the checkbox to clean out the Inbox folder. Just keep in mind that you can't undo this operation. Once you do it, everything is gone permanently.
