Have over 7000 emails residing in my inbox. Have change auto clear to 30 days from never but nothing happened.

We had another poster in here about a week ago that did the same thing, and it does work.  But he said it took about 6 hours before it kicked in.  So maybe just wait it out.  I don't know of any set time period for it to work.  Just as a test, try signing out of your account and then back in again.  See if that has any effect.
