auto forward selected email?

is there a way to auto forward emails from selected senders, rather than forward all?

Go to Settings (the toothed wheel in the upper right corner of Xfinity Connect).  Choose Filter Rules, then Add Rule.  Condition will let you choose what sender you want to forward, then Action will let you choose where to redirect mail from that sender.

If you are using Comcast's newer Open-Xchange "Appsuite" webmail ("connect.xfinity.com/appsuite/..."), see the example in http://forums.xfinity.com/t5/image/serverpage/image-id/32484i1AAD4529E068D26D/image-size/large?v=1.0.... That filter sends copies of emails from a selected sender to a Gmail address and a second Comcast address, but you can use just one "Redirect to" line. The "Keep" line is optional -- it retains a copy of the message in the Comcast Inbox.

This "redirect to" feature seems to be pretty buggy. There are certain emails that cause the "redirect to" to fail....you won't find it in your inbox, it isn't in the deleted folder, it is gone!

I've stopped using it because it is too unreliable.

You need to clarify-------did you set a filter to redirect messages from a particular sender to another address or what?

Yes, a filter that looks for a specific email address and then redirects (forwards) to another email address.

 

Conditions:

"Sender/From" contains "some@email.com"


Actions:

"Redirect to" "another@email.com"

OK, is the redirected message showing up at the recipient's email address?  I just tried it and it works as it should for me.

Yep...most of the time it works for me too...but there are certain emails it chokes on.

For example, people send SMS messages to my Xfinity home phone number and I get notified of the text message via email. Xfinity allows you to only send this to one email address. If I try to forward this email to everyone else in the family, it doesn't work. It removes it from my inbox (even though I have keep set as an action) and it it doesn't forward it to anyone.
