auto fill feature

auto fill feature

I have had a comcast email for many years, my auto fill feature has worked beautifully.  I had groups set up and could email multiple groups by typing in group name.  Recently, I set up a new email address with comcast and I can no longer use auto fill properly. It will not "recall" my group names and doesn't work with individual names either, the only way it will work is if I remember the email address and start typing that.  Any suggestions for getting auto fill to work properly?

I'm assuming you mean you set up a secondary account, is that right?  If so, remember that each account has it's own address book.  The reason it's not seeing the addresses when you start typing in the To: line is that there isn't anything there for it to see yet.  What you need to do is import the contacts from the other account just like you would to send them to an outside account like Gmail or Yahoo etc.

 

 

So first export the contacts from the first account to your desktop as a .csv file, and then go into the other account and click on Address Book>>>>>Build Your Address Book>>>>>Import>>>>>>>CSV Import.  Then click on Choose File and upload it.  Hopefully that will all work for you.
