appsuite

appsuite

I have had at least 5 email accounts with comcast over the years.  They 'upgraded' one account to app suite which allows me to save emails to an external drive.  However, the other email accounts have not been upgraded to app suite.  Have contacted tech support and they are 'working on this'.  Am wondering if anyone else has experienced this and if there is an option or setting that needs to be revised from my end.

Thank you very much!

Re: appsuite

May have found an answer to my issue ...

Bruce W posted 3-8-2017 on “email not updating to the new https://connect.xfinity.com/appsuite”

“Comcast being Comcast, chances are you won't be able to get within a mile of anyone who actually knows the answer to your question. You'll have to wait until they get around to converting all your email addresses. You can't do it yourself, and you can't ask them to convert you. And when they do finish the conversion, you'll be stuck with the new version, like it or not, because you can't change back. Not so Awesome, I'm afraid.”

Thank you Bruce ... had not seen this before so guess I must wait for them.  The only advantage I see from the conversion is the ability to save emails.

Re: appsuite

Comcast downloaded "appsuite" to my computer without my knowledge.  I have had trouble with it ever since.  Comcast sent a technician to my house who could not even figure out what it was.  She called a "Specialist" who also couldn't figure it out but would get back to me the next day.  Since he didn't call, I phoned him two days later, left a message and asked that he call me.  That was 5 weeks ago.  Comcast seems to have little to no care for their customers.  I'm still having the same difficulities.

Re: appsuite

Appsuite has nothing to do with software on your computer. It's the software run on Comcast's server for the web service interface. The 'old' mail was handled by Zimbra, a 3rd party collaboration software company. Appsuite appears to be Comcast's own software.

Sending a tech shows just how clueless Comcast is, and they wasted alot of money. You had better contest any possible charge for that unneeded visit.
