add Portuguese to spell check of e-mail

How do you add Portuguese language to spell check of e-mail? Only English and Spanish are the options on my xfinity email.

Hello Teresa1950, the information that (Latoque) provided is correct. We don't spell check for the Portuguese language currently, but you can submit your request by clicking on this link and provide your feedback.

The old email format had provision for using Portuguese.  The new format no longer offers that option.

so the new version is a down grade to the previous?

The software for the new format is  from a different vendor than the old one.  The old one is from Zimbra, and the new one is from Appsuite.  I don't know if Appsuite even offers it in anything other than English and Spanish.

  1. I, as a Comcast subscriber, being part of a large Portuguese community in Massachusetts, respectfully ask you to consider adding Portuguese to spell check of email though Appsuite or Zimbra, or any other software of your choice. It would be very important to me and others. Thank you.

I don't know if Comcast will try to get Portuguese.  But in the meantime, I would suggest you use any of several free translation services Like Google Translate.  While not perfect, they will do the job-----------

Gmail also has the ability to translate emails, including Portuguese, so maybe you could add the Comcast account to the Gmail account as an external account and use that to translate, although I haven't tried it myself.  Might be worth a look------------
