Since April 9, 2017 my Windows Live email Times Out after getting a few emails.

I have several email addresses and I cannot get email in any of them.  I didn't change

anything, so I don't know what to do.

Unable to send or receive messages for the Comcast  account. A time-out occurred while communicating with the server.

Server: 'mail.comcast.net'
Windows Live Mail Error ID: 0x800CCC19
Protocol: POP3
Port: 110
Secure(SSL): No

Solution

Email Settings  Check your email settings there.

FWIW, Microsoft is no longer updating WLM and has pretty much abandoned it.  You might want to consider migrating to another email client.  I went from WLM to Thunderbird, but didn't delete WLM because of emails stored there; I just don't check mail there, and don't poll the servers there.

I changed everything and got this error message:

Unable to send or receive messages for the Comcast  account. The connection to the server has failed.

Server: 'imap.comcast.net'
Windows Live Mail Error ID: 0x800CCC0E
Protocol: POP3
Port: 995
Secure(SSL): Yes
Socket Error: 10060

I made Incoming 995 w/SSL on.

I made Outgoing 587.

I changed imap.comcast.net to mail.comcast.net with the 993 and 587 and I'm now getting a ton of email....Thanks!
