When I purchase an new computer, what things do I need to copy?

Regular Visitor

When I purchase an new computer, what things do I need to copy?

1) Emails

Are the emails stored at my local computer or at the Comcast site?

I am in a process of buying a new computer.  If my old emails are stored at the Comcast site, then I can automatically access my old emails.  If they are stored at my local computer, then I will have to copy all of them from the old disk to the new.  Right?

2) favorites in the Internet Browsers

3) What other things do I need to copy?

TIA

1.  If you are using webmail ( browser email ) and not an email client, the emails should still be available when logging into your account online.

2.  If possible, export your current favorites to an SD card if available or to a USB flash drive.

3.  All of your personal documents, pictures, movies, music, etc  ( anything that you would miss should be copied and saved )

4.  The steps above are only in answer to your questions.  There is more that should be done to your old computer before you give it away or trash it.  Suggest you contact a local Computer store/tech to assist you in this process.
