Unable to delete/edit email filters

Over the past several weeks I have not been able to delete or edit existing email filters on my account.  When  I try to delete a filter, the saving blue circle continues without making the change.  When I try to edit a filter, I get the message "unable to save filter".  I just spent 90 minutes in an online chat room with a comcast support person, Edwin, who, try as he might, was not successful at resolving this issue.  He advised me to post this issue to the forum for resolution.  Thank you for your help.

Are you going to Preferences/Email/Email Filters in webmail?

 

When you highlight a filter are you getting you getting the Pencil, X, and Run to the right of the filter name?  And you clicked on the X, and the action doesn't automatically save?

Yes, I am going to the email preferences tab.  I have tried  "X" to delete a filter, and the "saving" blue circle spins endlessly and nothing changes. When I click on the pencil icon to edit a filter, the message I receive is "unable to save filters." and again nothin

Two things to try....

 

Clear your browser cache

Remove any cookies that you have for Comast

I have done both twice now, once with the online chat and again just now, and no change in result

Yes, I have tried Internet Explorer and Mozilla Firefox.  The result is the same with both.

I've had the same issue for several weeks now.

 

I've tried Firefox, Internet Explorer and Chrome

 

I've cleared cache, cookies, history as suggested above with no change in behavior

 

Just thought I'd chime in.

Still no solution to this problem.  I have heard from several others who have the same issue, have tried all the possible fixes and nothing has changed.  Still unable to edit/delete email filters.  Comcast needs to fix this programming problem.

I have had the same issue for months and have tried the same steps related to the browser. I use Firefox and chrome on Linux. Sounds like the problem is with Xfinity and not with the user.

Same issue for here! 

 

Have tried the all suggested "fixes" in Preferences/Email/Email Filters in webmail related to each browser I use  (Firefox and Explorer).

 

 

Since Comcast hasn't responded to this thred in over a week, it would appear they're trying to "dodge the issue" and, as usual, never admitting that the problem is with Xfinity and not with the user!!!

This has been a problem for a couple of months now for me.


Is anyone working towards a solution for this issue ?

I also have not been able to delete/edit an email filter. I don't even get the pencil or X any more (I did at one time, but now they don't show up -- maybe I made a change somewhere that prevents them from showing? Come to think of it, I used to have "Preferences" at the top of the email list but that doesn't appear anymore either; I have to move my cursor over where it was, and then it appears, but if I move my cursor away, it disappears). What's going on?
