Unable to connect to the internet via IE or FireFox

Unable to connect to the internet via IE or FireFox

For the last 3 or 4 days, while logged into my desktop at home, I noticed that when I click on google search results, control was being hijacked  by Xfinity.

Shortly thereafter I lost the ability to connect to the internet thru Internet Explorer, getting error page  "This page can't be displayed"

 

Then , I was still able to connect  to the internet thru FireFox;  but today, I also lost ability to connect thru FireFox as well.

 

However, I am still able to connect to the internet using my laptop.

 

Note that my desktop if the mian computer at my home.

It is with the desktop  that comcast original sofware was configured

I suggest you have your desktop scanned for malware:
