The new email client is not sorting by "From"

I have already spoken with both customer service/support and have a case number about this issue.

 

However, nobody has responded back at all.  So much for customer service.

 

I am a web developer myself and have tried the usual "fixes": clearing cache, trying different web browsers, turning off and restarting my laptop.  All of these have not resolved the issue which appears to be a bonified bug with the web-based email site.

 

Can someone please respond and let me know if the "development" team responsible for creating/maintaining the site has been notififed.

I just tried it and it hung up and didn't load.  So I signed out of the account and back in again and it works just fine.  When you click on "Sort by" at the top of the message list, do you have From checked?

Yes I do have it checked.  I am a software developer with a degree in Computer Science, so I have checked and done the basics.

 

The behavior I am seeing is a bug in my opinion.

 

I have attached a screenshot to show what I am talking about.

 

As you the screenshot shows, the sort on sender is not entirely correct.  "John Meyer" is coming after "Mathew B Legare".

 

As I side not, I am working with a Java based email client running on my laptop that I plan to modify since I have the source code and it's looking like I will be able to get it to "sort properly".

By the way, this is not solved.

 

I did not mark the reply as fixing my answer.  The poster of the reply evidently marked it as solving my issue without ever confirming with me it solved the problem.
