How can I delete spam automatically instead of having it go to my spam folder?

Re: Spam

The  only spam you can delete is what shows in the inbox.  It will then go to tge Spam Folder as other 'caught' spam goes to.

The whole idea of having the Spam folder in the first place is so you can check for false positive hits to make sure nothing legitimate is being marked as spam, and if there is then you mark it as not Spam to help train the filters.

Re: Spam

Hi Carol--Thanks for your ideas!   Other email/service providers allow one to reject

unwanted emails from being delivered.  That is, they are deleted BEFORE cluttering

up my space.

I don't recommend it, but if you don't want to save emails that Comcast considers to be spam, you can configure that in My Account / Users & Preferences / Email Settings / Spam Filtering by clearing the checkbox next to "Save a copy of emails marked as spam".
