Is there a way to block spam at the comcast mail server level? I use Outlook for email and can't seem to block a rapidly increasing amount of junk with available anti-spam.

Do you have the Spam filter turned on in your account?  To check, sign into your account and click on "My Account" at the top of the page.  It will ask you to sign in again.  When you do, click on "Users and Preferences".  Look down the next page for the Spam filter and see if it's enabled.
