How do I enable a spam filter on a Mac

Email Expert

Re: Spam filters

In the Comcast webmail UI, click on the gear icon in the upper right corner of the page, then on Settings.  Under "Mail" click on "Advanced Settings", and there you will see the option to turn spam filtering on or off.  If you want to use the filters in Mac Mail----------open Mail, then in the top menu bar click on "Mail".  In the sub-menu you will see the option to Edit the account in question.  Click on that and in the Preferences page that opens, click on Junk.  It looks like this-----------------------

There you see the option to filter Junk mail.  It is checked by default.
