Spam Management

What happens to the email addresses I move to the Spam Folder?  Does Comcast actually do anything with this information?  I move Spam to the Spam Folder and I continue to receive Spam from the same jerks.  BTW, before I move Spam to my Spam Folder I select the 'unsubscribe' option in the emails that provide that option.

Re: Spam Management

Moving emails to and from the Spam folder is supposed to train the filters.

You shouldn't unsubscribe to spam email from illegitmate sources. That just lets the spammers know you have an active email address.

You should unsubscribe from unwanted email from legitimate sources. If they end up marked as spam, subscribers will just mark them as not spam, or Comcast will improperly treat them as spam.
