The email is not sorting correctly. I want the system to sort by From - so I choose that under the sort by button. I except the to see the emails in alphabetically order based on the first letter, which is not how it worked in the old email. However, the sorting is all over the place in the new email. I'm not sure what it is sorting on, clearly its not just using the "from" as the sort.
Some people have reported that when you use From as the criteria, it seems to sort them with the alphabetical order of the email address of the sender, rather than the name. Does that explain what you are looking at?
Thanks for response, but that is not correct. It's not even putting emails with the same email address together. Do you or can someone from Xfinity explain what is going on? The way the old email sorted on the "from" column was the correct way to do it - in alphabetical order based on the sender name, not email address. This is really annoying. Is there anyway to go back to the old mail?
Once you are migrated to the new format, there is no way to revert to the old one. I'm going to escalate this to the forum admins to see if they can explain this for you.
Hi bionicwoman7 -- I checked on this email sorting but I'm not running into the same problem. I'm able to set the sort setting to group emails by From and have them sort correctly. In order to troubleshoot your issue we would need to be able to sign into your account to see this. If you're ok with that I'll do a password reset, login, and collect data we need to run support.
I am also having the same issue and it's driving me nuts. The old inteface sorted correctly. So not only are things not sorting by the Name field, I'm also having it that they are not actually grouping the same "from" emails together (I confirmed they all are from the same address). Below is a screenshot - I do not have converations checked. I do not want to download an email viewer to be able to do what I was able to do before I was switched over. Does Comcast acknowlege this as a bug?
