From what I can understand, someone is trying to use my IP address and/or username to bulk send emails.  Is there a way to block this?  I have recieved emails from other people, but the address was different.  For example, you would see

JohnSmith@Comcast.net (2.515209@yUqKZIDXi88cS9rK5LSBpR71.auragra.nl)

This tells me that the email was NOT sent from my friend.  However, the email I recieved (and shown above) came from the mail-delivery system telling me that it was rejected because it met the requirements for spam. I have tried to send an email from this account, but haven't seen it on my gmail yet.  Who do I contact in Comcast to notify them of this type of abuse?

Re: Someone is using my email to spam others

It looks like you are being "spoofed".  It's fairlly esy for spammers to make it look like you are sending out junk mail when you are not.  First thing to check is your Sent folder to see if there is anything in there that you know you didn't send.  If there is then the account has been compromised, and you need to change your password immediately.  I would do so even if the Sent folder looks OK.  Run a scan of your system with your A/V software to see if it finds anything.  If it's only spoofing, about all you can do is wait it out.  Spammers will usually use an address for a couple of weeks or so and then move on.  You should find this of interest-------------------------

You might also call Comcast security and ask them to look at your account----------------------
