Server went down a couple of weeks ago, now unable to receive e mails in outlook. (POP3 to IMAP)
Was supposed to hear back this week from Comcast, but nothing.
Techs for Comcast sent be a fix, then I called, no results.
Can you access your email normally using just a browser and the webmail?
Yahoo email fine
Xfinity email fine
Outlook 2007 can send but not receive
Check your Outlook settings against this:
There is no reason I know that IMAP should not work in any version of Outlook. But if you want to use POP3 the settings are here----------------
Thinking of just giving up.
will not receive email.
when I try to delete email before this problem. Posted a snipit
Have tried almost every combination of numbers
Something is blocking me from receiveing my e mail.
Best I can come up with is that 2007 will not work with IMAP. Surprise Comcast dropped the ball on this one.
POP3 back would be great
You didn't mention whether or not you checked your settings with the ones I posted. Incoming settings should be imap.email.comcast.net instead of just imap.comcast.net.
Are you using the Test Account Settings button? If so, what happens if you send yourself just a regular email?
I just set up my comcast email in Outlook 2007 and had no problem receiving my emails. I also sent myself an email [not using the Test button] and received it.
Can you post a screenshot of your settings, please?
Also, make sure that you have your outgoing server requires authentication and that it uses the same settings as the incoming server.
It appears that you are encountering a very specific issue with Outlook. It looks like your pst file is corrupted. Did you run the scanpst tool like the error message said?
