Sent emails are showing up in draft folder

Sent emails are showing up in draft folder

Is there a reason why emails I send show up both in the sent forlder and the draft folder?  I can understand they being saved in drafts until sending but shouldn't they automatically delete from drafts when sent?  It's not an issue of the send not working as the email is getting to its destination and I'm not physically saving it to drafts to complete later.  Most often I've opened and email and forwarded it on - it sends immediately but then also shows up in drafts.  It's annoying!

Assuming you are in the new email format, on the Inbox page click on the gear icon in the upper right corner, then on Settings.  Under Mail Settings scroll down to see the option to change the default Draft folder behavior.  You can disable it if you want to.

This is happening in my email account as well. However, it is on my Apple iPad. How do I fix this?

As I said up thread, you would need to disable the Draft saving feature.  On an iOS device, you would sign into the account using Safari and go into the Settings to do that.
