Recovering deleted e-mail

Recovering deleted e-mail

After converting my e-mail to IMAP, the system began periodically deleting mail from my TRASH folder on my home computer. I was able to recover some deleted mail on the Comcast site, but not all. Is there any way that Comcast can recover all of the TRASH mail that was deleted. By the way, I have converted back to POP3.

Re: Recovering deleted e-mail

Supposedly, the longest you can retain anything in the Trash folder in the Comcast webmail is 30 days, same as the Spam folder.  There is a recovery feature, but it only goes back 15 days.  Right-click on the Trash folder to access "Recover Deleted Items".  If you are using an email client like Outook, Thunderbird, or Windows Live Mail, the settings for the Trash folder in that should override the Comcast preferences.
