Recover text in email message not yet sent

Is there a way to recover a composed email not yet sent? I accidentally selected all the text and hit the backspace button on my iPhone 4s.

I don't think so. I just tried a few things in mail on my iPhone. If you had done a Select All and Copy or Cut, that text would be available from Paste. But if you just press backspace, what you have selected is replaced with what you typed. And there is no Undo. So it is gone.

Thank you for the reply.  Next time, I will do it on my laptop and save draft!  Thanks again!

Just to add------if you are typing something in an email, text message, word processing program like MS Word or others, and then accidentally delete it, you can recover it in Windows by tapping Cntrl +z.  In Mac OS X it's Cmnd +z.  This is on your desktop or laptop computer.
