Outlook Unable to access email

It took me a week to resolve problem with Outlook not accessing Comcast Email. Kept getting message that Outlook could not access the Server.  Many calls to Comcast with no avail. Problem finally solved by Microsoft. The Comcast "Agents" evidently are not aware that when you establish a password for the xFinity website, the Comcast system changes your Outlook password to be the same as your password to access the xFinity website! Once this was discovered (by Microsoft, not by Comcast), I was able to access the emails through Outlook by using the xFinity password. However, I had lost all of my contacts so had to re-establish them in Outlook. Not very happy over this.....!
