Outlook 2010 cannot send emails with comcast

Changed ports 110 to 995 ssl   & from 587 to 465 ssl ) all settings are verified correct.

That fails to allow me to send emails also.

But, the test email does work and I can receive that.

However all emails that appear to say they are sent ( not in outbox and in sent folder) are not truly sent.

 

Thoughts anyone?

Look at Carole's answer here ( http://forums.comcast.com/t5/E-Mail-and-Xfinity-Connect-Help/No-longer-able-to-send-e-mails-from-Out... ). Maybe it will help.

 

Edit: Essentially  ...

 

Make sure that you have checked "This server requires authentication"


and did NOT check SPA (secure password authentication)

did that, thats what I was talking about, just not clear enough. Thanks but that did not work
