Not able to connect to Comcast Server

Not able to connect to Comcast Server

Having issues with connecting to Comcast server. I use iMac and Outlook for Mac. Have not had any problems until this morning...did something happen at comcast overnight?

There seems to be a Comcast E-Mail outage today.

Try changing the incoming server to imap.email.comcast.net

Changing the incoming server seems to have fixed the problem of VERY slow loading and folder navigation using Outlook 2007 with Comcast IMAP.

Thanks Again, changing the server setting worked. The question is, why did everyone have to change their server settings?

I don't know why it changed.  My account was migrated to the new webmail on January 1.  I get my email in Thunderbird, so I went to webmail to see if i had any new email, which I did, and it was then I discovered I had the new email.  Poked around and found the server settings and compared them and saw where it incoming changed from imap.comcast.net to imap.email.comcast.net and made the change.  Worked.

You left off the word AGAIN. Webmail not responding. Changed IMAP server to what was suggested in iPhone mail app.
