No Emails on iPhone



I hava a comcast.net email account and have set-up my iPhone to receive my emails for the past 10 yrs.  For the past few days, my messages stopped downloading and the following message appears:


The POP server "mail.comcast.net" is not responding.  Check your network connection and that you entered the correct 

information in the "Incoming Mail Server" field. "


The current Incoming Mail Server is listed as "mail.comcast.net" and Outgoing Mail Server is "smtp.comcast.net"  I have never changed the servers.  I also receive another popup message: "Cannot connect using SSL. Do you want to try setting up the account without SSL?"   Any help is appreciated.
