New email page memory consumption

New email page memory consumption

Hi -

Amongst all of the ills that the "new" email page has created, the worst is the memory consumption - the page will consume 1.3GB or more on Chrome if I don't shut it down. It's harder to see the memory consumption using other browsers, but leaving the email page open in any browwer will cause it to become sluggish and/or crash. This needs to be addressed ASAP.

Re: New email page memory consumption

Hello amsctalx, when you use XFINITY email in a different browser, like Firefox or Safari, are you having same issues with crashing?

Re: New email page memory consumption

Hi -

FireFox already has a substantial memory leak, but leaving Xfinity email open will cause it to consume over 2GB of memory in a matter of hours.
