New e-mail design.

I am trying to use the new email system. When trying to delete mass items and I click on the "select all box" I find it only hilights a given number of items and then every other following. I want to limit my choices to a given number. In the old system I could limit the number of items to 100 which worked for me. Now I have an unlimited number which is far more than I wish to deal with at one time. How do I limit that number?

What you posted needs to be clarified.  Exactly what are you trying to do?  How many emails are you trying to delete and from where?  Do you mean you want to empty a folder or what?
