Mutable tabs open when I access my account in Google Chrome

Mutable tabs open when I access my account in Google Chrome

When I first access my Xfinity account in Google Chrome 5 seperate tabs apear at the top of the page. The first states it can not connect with the Comcast server, but I can access my account using any of the other 4 tabs.  I close all but one tab, but every time I go back into Chrome all 5 tabs appear again. How can I eliminate all the extra tabs when using Chrome?

This does not happen when I use Edge or Firefox.

Hello jim1mike. I can attempt to help you with your Google Chrome issue.

  1. Sign into your Chrome and click the gear/ three dots icon in the right corner of the screen.
  2. Select Settings from the drop down menu.
  3. Under the On Startup sections, click 'Open the New Tab page', OR remove the additional pages you do not want under the 'Open a specific page or set of pages' button.

Let us know if you have any further questions.
