I have to move a thread of email recipients from one of my contacts to my email contacts. I can not figure out how to do that without retyping each email separately into my group contacts. Can anybody give me an easy way to accomplish this task? Thanks
You need to clarify just what you are trying to do. Do you mean you want to copy the address from one Comcast account to another? If not, where are the addresses now?
I have to copy the email addresses from a hotmail account to my comcast account. The specfics are that the person from whom I am coping the email addresses does a schduling task that I am now doing. The person has all the email addresses that I need. Rather than typing each email address into my group contact, I was hoping there was a simple way to get them from one place to another. I am sorry for not being clear.
I can't think of a way to do what you are describing. The other person could export their address book to you as a .csv file, and then you could import it into your Comcast address book. However, I don't know of any way for them to just break out a group. AFAIK it's all or nothing. And you would still have to add them to your group from the contact list, although it would be easier since you can select multiple contacts to add at once.
Thanks for your efforts. I appreciate your help. I am still trying to copy/paste route. If I find anything, I will let you know.
I moved all the emails to a folder. Can you explain how to get the folder into the "Group" in the Contacts section?
I don't know if I am just uninclined or not. I like the new email format. Now, if I could just figure out what I need, I'll be okay.
Thanks again for putting up with my questions.
I don't know what you mean by saying you moved the contacts to a folder. Are they in .csv file format? If not you are not going to be able to do much with them in terms of the address book. How many contacts are you talking about?
After trying several ways of moving an email address thread, I gave up. I will just have to enter them to the group one by one. Thank you for your suggestions.
