I am missing all e-mails sent and received prior to February 8 2010... I've had this e-mail address since 2001 or so- So i am missing approx 9 years worth of e-mails. E-mails are accessed via the web. HELP!
As a precaution I would change your password to something stronger than whatever it is right now, and also change your secret question and answer. Suddenly vanishing emails is a common sign of a malware infection, or a compromised account. Run a complete scan of your machine with your A/V software to see if it finds anything wrong.
You might also want to call Comcast security and ask them to look at your account----------------------

Go to your Inbox, and look at the Storage limit percent used. I would guess that at some point you exceeded your storage limit and emails deleted by the system. THE LIMIT IS 10 G. Post back what you see. I am assuming you only use Xfinity Connect, and donNOT use a smartphone, tablet, or another email program in ADDITION to Xfinity Connect???
Also check your EMAIL DELETION SCHEDULE.. In box>Preferences tab>Email.
A window open showing all your settings and the number of days each Comcast Folder is set to when it automatically deletes all email from each Folder.

I am at 39% used storage. This is the highest that i have ever been. My e-mail deletion schedule is set to NEVER for both my inbox and my sent box.
i called the HELP number you listed and the person who answered was not able to tell me anything. Where can i get some answers? I am missing TEN YEARS worth of e-mails... Aaaahhhhhhh!!!!!!
I'm going to escalate this to the forum administrators. The people at that security number are supposed to be able to deal with this kind of thing.

Hi christineehart22, yes please follow the below instructions.
At the top of each Forum page you will see a small envelope
This is the icon for Private Messages, referred to as ‘PM’s’. A Private Message is a way to communicate in private, to another User, Moderator, or Administrator out of public view in the Forums.
The gray envelope icon will have a number next to it if you have any new messages waiting.
To open a PM to read it, double click on the envelope. If you click on the white envelope a window will open with tabs for your Private Message Inbox, Sent Messages, Friends, Ignored Users, and Compose new Message. You can also access this area by clicking on the Username in a Thread or post. By default, Private Messages are enabled. You can disable this feature in My Settings>Preferences> Private Messenger.
