We will be moving at the end of July to an area not served by Comcast.  When we leave our house, can we cancel our cable TV and high speed internet service, but keep our email, until we find an email supplier in our new area?

Unfortunately when you close your service with Comcast, you will no longer have access to email...sending or receiving.
The best thing you should do NOW, is to set up a free email account with Gmail or Thunderbird and notify all contacts to start using that new email address now.
Another thing you want to do is to export your contacts from the Xfinity address book. Save it on your desktop ( to locate easily). Then you can import the contacts into your new email account...either the free one you are setting up right away, or to your new ISP's email program.
And finally, go through your emails ad delete those you no longer need.
