Lately I have noticed that when I search for an item in Trash, it says no match. I go to Restore Deleted Items and I find them - but I know I did not delete the items from Trash so cannot understand how they got to the Restore area. I now have to check this option every day. And I'm not dealing with this on my smartphone, this is on a pc. Does anyone else have this issue and if so, is there a fix? I'm already not a fan of webmail so even more unhappy with it now.
In the new format, messages are kept in the Trash folder 14 days, or 5000 messages, whichever comes first. Messages in the Deleted Items folder are kept 14 or 15 days, then they drop off completely.
That isn't correct for me. It is dumping very new ones into deleted items and there are some in deleted items that are very old. So something else is going on. What is this new format you are referring to?

I have the newest display but it's like the system is backwards for me. It's taking NEW messages into the Restore folder, not the oldest!!!
Every day I have to restore deleted items because it takes newer ones out of trash. What am I missing that this is working like this for me? This is stupid! I should not have to manipulate my email like this on a daily basis. Comcast, please answer this so that it makes sense. I'm so frustrated - this kind of stuff is why people hate Comcast.
I'm going to escalate this so a form admin can follow up on it. There is no setting you can change that could account for this.
Hi, JCBeaches - I see you have 2 email addresses, could you please send me a private message with the affected email? Do you use any 3rd party email clients (Outlook, Thunderbird, Windows Mail and etc.)?
@JCBeaches - Thank you for the information. There is no need to delete your secondary email, it's totally up to you. For your primary email, I see you have an email filter "vacation notice" turned on. When did you set it up? Could you please disable it?
One, I deleted the 2nd email cos it isn't used. Two, I have checked every setting I can find and I don't see any vacation notice setting. I have never been told I have it on - I send myself emails to and from work all the time and have never had an "vacation" or "out of office" type notice recd back if I send something from work to home. So if you can point me to it, I'll remove it.
Please check Settings -> Mail -> Filter rules and let me know if you have any filters.
Hello - no, I have never setup filters as I have never had the need for that or for vacation notice. This is personal email so it's accessible at all times, regardless of how fast I respond.
@JCBeaches - I escalated your issue further, you should be contacted by an agent from Tech Support. I will follow up with you on Sunday to check the progress.

@JCBeaches - I can reopen the ticket with the Advanced Repair team but please provide the good number to reach in a private message. They tried 2 numbers - one had no voicemail, one was disconnected.

@JCBeaches - Please don't post your private information publicly, I asked to send it a private message, so only our team can see it. In order to troubleshoot, escalate, follow up, etc - the advanced repair team needs to reach you via the phone. Otherwise, they will close your ticket.
