Import emails from AOL to Comcast

Import emails from AOL to Comcast

A friend would like to get out of AOL, but has folders full of emails that she would like to save.

She has Comcast service.

If she opens an email account in Comcast, is there a way to transfer those emails into Comcast?

Re: Import emails from AOL to Comcast

She would need to move the emails in local folders in AOL back into the Inbox.  Then she could use this link to do a transfer to Comcast----------------------

https://comcast.transfermyemail.com/start

Another option would be to enable both the AOL and Comcast accounts in a desktop email client like Outlook, Thunderbird or Windows Live Mail, using IMAP.  That way all the local folders would be copied by the client.

Re: Import emails from AOL to Comcast

I had discovered the EasyChange option after I asked the question.

However, I did not see that all folder contents had to be transferred to Inbox before importing.

That is a hassle because then she would need to re-allocate lots of emails back to folders in Comcast.

Maybe I can set her up in Outlook, that is a good suggestion.

Thanks!
