IMAP Trash Auto Empty

IMAP Trash Auto Empty

I am using a Comcast email account with Outlook 2013 in IMAP mode.  My trash items are being deleted after 7 days but all of the settings in Outlook are to not empty Trash and the Comcast setting is to empty after 30 days (the longest available period.)  I cannot finad any other settings that might be controlling this function.

 

Anyone have any ideas?

Do you have the account enabled on another device like a smartphone or a tablet that might be set to delete them?

Nope ... the only other app that accesses the account is the IOS Outlook app which has no auto settings.

Then I would change the password and secret question and answer for the account, and also change the password in Outlook.  Just as a precaution incase of a malware infection or a compromised account.  You could call Comcast security and ask them to look at your account-------
