I can not send mail using my MacBook

I can not send mail using my MacBook

I am receiving all my mail, but I can not send anything out on my computer, only from the xfinity website.  Please advise how to fix problem.

Sounds like you have an outgoing mail port number wrong.

I haven't had a problem until recently and I haven't made any changes.

What email client are you using-------Mac Mail, Thunderbird or something else?  Exactly what happens when you try to send?  Are you getting an error message, and if so, what does it say? (don't post an email address in here)
