I added a new email address for an existing company to my address book.  I cannot find the old company info and the names are a little different.  It doesn't show anywhere in my address book however, when I type a new email and I start to type in the company name, both addresses come up in my selection box window.  It is annoying and I have had this happen in the past and I have to try and remember the correct one to choose.  When I type a search in my address book, it tells me it doesn't exist.

I guess it is a ghost but has turned into a goblin...

While there is an ongoing issue that Comcast is aware of, most webmail programs will remember an address you have sent to in the past. They don't have to be in the address book.    Some have the ability to go into settings and delete them, others, like Comcast, do not have that ability.  The auto-save feature lists addresses based on frequency of use.  Eventually they will drop off but there is no set time period for it to happen.  Most desktop email clients have the ability to edit that feature if you want to go that route, like Outlook, Thunderbird, Apple Mail and so on.
