Is it POSSIBLE to delete a BLOCK of email messages, without deleting all of the previous messages? The prior system of nontechnical experts permitted deleting a page at a time. NOW, if you go down several pages and want to delete a block of messages it will delete every message prior to this page! It's an insane system nitemare.

If the want the old page by page delete stuff, use the Lite version of Xfinity Connect.

Why should I have to use a completely different software to more easily delete 'blocks' of emails!? That's just an EXCUSE for poorly designed systems by a huge company. In addition, If you go down half way in a large list of your emails and check the box at the top - you would erase ALL THE MESSAGES FROM THERE TO THE MOST CURRENT MESSAGE! That's a completely insane design concept.

If you want to delete a number of messages at one time, using XfinityConnect's full version, you would need to tick the box infront of each of those messages, then click on delete.  OR- you might want to use an email client and not use either version of XfinityConnect. Comcast's email is web-based, it is not an email client and does not have all the functionality one would have with an email client. You can post your feedback here:

Xfinity Connect/SmartZone Feedback Page

Need Email Help? Please post the following information in your post.
Do you use XfinityConnect? The Full or Lite version?
Do you use an email client? Which one? (Eg; Windows Live mail, Outlook, a smartphone etc.)
Which browser/version do you use? And- have you cleared your browser cache?
Which operating system? XP, Vista, Windows 7, Mac OS X
Details of the problem you are having.

Solution

Click the first message in the block, then Shift-Click the last message in the block. This will mark all the messages in the block, and then you can click on the Delete icon.

Click the first message in the block, then Shift-Click the last message in the block. This will mark all the messages in the block, and then you can click on the Delete icon.
