How do i download email from the Comcast imap server to my email client?

How do i download email from the Comcast imap server to my email client?

I want to download all email messages from the IMAP server and store them locally in my email client. I use Windows LiveMail on Windows 7, and (to be clear) after email messages are downloaded, I don't want copies left on the IMAP server.

Is there a way to do this?

You need to tell Windows Live Mail to delete the messages after downloading.

In WLM, click on Accounts [top of the page]

Click on Properties

Click on the Advanced tab

Make your change under Delivery

Thanks, but that's only an option if I use POP3 for the server. I suppose this isn't possible with IMAP, so I'll use POP3 for now.
