If you upgraded from WinXp to WIn7 on same machine they should still be available.  If you did this using 2 different machines and still have access to the XP machine you do this here:

From within IE  (hopefully that is your web browser)

  • Click on the STAR between the Home & Gear icons, top right
  • Click on DropDown menu next to Add to Favorites
  • Click on Import & Export
  • Click on Export to File and NEXT
  • Select what you want to export
  • Select the folder
  • Type the location and file name
  • Click Export

Find the file and save to portable media compatible with both machines

In new machine do the same steps above but this time IMPORT the file into new machine.

If you do not have any media (flash drive, cd disk, external hard drive) to save the file to you can send the html document that was created when exporting to yourself via email.

Attach the file.

Open your email, save the attachment to your desktop or where every you want.

When you want import favorites, open your browser. Find the option for Import. Follow the prompts to navigate to the where you saved the file from email.
