Have there been recent cHANGEs IN eMAIL display 7/27/2017

To see all my recent emails after loging in ,I have to click on the "Envelope"on top of display.

Never had to do this before.

I've noticed some additional choices to click to the right of the "Envelope" like "Home Security" plus before clicking on the "Envelope" it will display a red number indicating the number of new (or possibly unread emails) I have received when I simply hover my mouse over the Envelope on my Windows PC which "might" be new.

 

However, I have always had to click the "Envelope" to open another window tab that displays my email page for about a year now.   Maybe our differences are because of our browsers (I use Firefox).   Also, is it possible that you recently changed (knowingly or unkowningly) your browser configuration options?
